What We do
premium quality furniture refurbishing with a constantly revolving inventory of both available-for-custom-claim unfinished pieces and newly refinished furniture. Every piece is one-of-a-kind and hand-refinished in Oak Ridge, TN.
The refinishing process
We take pride in refinishing YOUR furniture the right way. No shortcuts, no cheap products, JUST ELBOW GREASE and a careful process that ensures your piece not only looks amazing, but stands the test of time.
Cleaning
Every piece we procure is first thoroughly vacuumed and cleaned/SCRUBBED with a degreaser to remove dust, dirt, and grime. wE WANT YOUR PIECE SQUEAKY CLEAN BEFORE WE EVEN START WORKING ON IT.
Sand/strip
Removal or scuffing of the existing finish to ensure maximum adhesion for primer & paint OR stain. wE WILL NOT PAINT OVER POORLY ADHERING OLD LAYERS OF PAINT. iF YOU WANTED THAT, YOU COULD SPEND $200 ON A fACEBOOK mARKETPLACE DRESSER THAT WILL LOSE SOME FINISH EVERY TIME YOU BUMP INTO IT.
Repair
We then fix any dings, holes, and structural issues. iF WE ARE REPLACING HARDWARE, WE WILL FILL AND REPAIR THE PREVIOUS HOLES OR ANY RINGS THEY LEFT ON YOUR DRAWERFRONTS. WE WILL ALSO FILL ANY SMALL DINGS AND CHIPS IN THE FINISH SO YOUR DRESSER HAS A SILKY SMOOTH FINISH.
Prime
if WE'RE PAINTING YOUR PIECE, we WILL NEXT apply a high-quality primer tHAT PRIMARILY IMPROVES PAINT ADHESION, BUT ALSO blockS stainS, odors, and tannins FROM THE WOOD.
Paint/stain
After priming, we Apply 2-4 coats using a paint sprayer and premium quality furniture paint. NO STREAKS, NO BRUSH STROKES. sTAINS GO ON MANUALLY.
Seal
we finish every STAINED piece off with 2-3 coats of polyurethane or polyacrylic, depending on your finish. This protects your piece for the long haul.
